Custom Home Offices in Utah — Built for Real Work, Not a Desk in the Corner.

Built-in desks, file drawers, bookshelves, and cable management — designed for your workflow.

A workspace that earns its square footage.

Remote work isn't going away, and the dining-table-as-desk era is over. If you're working from home — whether full-time, hybrid, or running a business from a spare bedroom — the space should work as well as any commercial office. Better, actually, because you're paying the mortgage on it.

A Cutting Edge home office gives you the built-in infrastructure that makes a room feel like a real workspace. A desk surface at the right height and depth for your setup — dual monitors, laptop dock, whatever you use. File drawers that actually lock. Bookshelves sized for your reference material, not a standard 12-inch depth that wastes six inches behind every book. Cable management channels so power strips and charging cables don't live on the floor. Printer shelves, supply drawers, and closed cabinetry to keep the room clean when the workday ends.

We build home offices the same way we build closets: every component is designed for your specific room and manufactured in our Orem shop. The same CNC-precision cuts, the same commercial-grade melamine or paint-grade finishes, the same soft-close hardware and lifetime warranty on the install.

Whether you need a single-wall built-in desk with overhead shelving or a full room transformation with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a credenza, and a conference nook, the process is the same. A designer comes to your home, measures, and talks through how you work — what equipment you use, how many screens, whether you take video calls, what you need to store. You get a 3D rendering and a written quote within a few days.

How it works

  1. We visit and measure

A designer measures your office (or the room you want to convert), notes electrical outlet locations and window placement, and walks through your work setup and storage needs.

  2. We design and quote

Within a few days you get a 3D rendering and an itemized quote — desk, shelving, cabinetry, cable management, lighting, everything laid out.

  3. We build it in our Orem shop

Desk surfaces, shelves, file drawers, and cabinetry are CNC-cut, edge-banded, and hand-checked before they leave the shop.

  4. We install it ourselves

Most home office installs are completed in a single day. Lifetime warranty on the install.

Common questions

How much does a custom home office cost in Utah?

Every home office project is custom, so we quote based on the room size, the number of built-in walls, and the features you choose. A single-wall desk with overhead shelving is the most accessible project. Full-room buildouts with bookshelves, file drawers, and cabinetry cost more. Executive-grade offices with floor-to-ceiling built-ins and premium finishes are at the top of the range. Every quote is itemized so you can adjust scope to fit your budget.

Can you build around my existing equipment setup?

Yes. We design around your specific equipment — dual monitors, ultrawide screens, laptop docks, printers, standing-desk converters. Desk depth, surface height, and cable management are all customized. If you take video calls, we can position the desk and shelving to give you a clean background.

Do you include cable management?

Yes. Every home office we build includes cable routing — channels behind the desk surface, grommets for cords to pass through, and concealed power strip locations. No more extension cords across the floor.

Can you convert a spare bedroom into a home office?

Yes — it's one of our most common projects. A spare bedroom with one or two walls of built-ins becomes a dedicated workspace that still functions as a guest room if you keep one wall clear for a daybed or Murphy bed.

What if I need the room to be both an office and a guest room?

We design dual-purpose rooms regularly. Built-in desk and shelving on one or two walls, with the third wall left open or designed for a daybed, fold-down bed, or closet. The key is keeping the office infrastructure compact and the guest side functional.

Do you install in multi-story homes or basements?

Yes. We install in any room in the house — upstairs spare bedrooms, basement bonus rooms, attic conversions, garage-to-office conversions. If the room has walls, electrical, and HVAC, we can build in it.

How long does a home office install take?

Most home office installs are completed in a single day. From design consultation to finished install, plan on 3–5 weeks. Larger projects with floor-to-ceiling built-ins may take two install days.
