Custom Laundry Rooms in Utah — More Than a Washer and a Wire Shelf.
Folding counters, pull-out hampers, drying racks, and real cabinetry — designed for the room you use every day.
The most-used room in the house deserves more than builder-grade shelving.
In most Utah homes, the laundry room is an afterthought — a wire shelf above the machines, a plastic hamper on the floor, and a pile of folded clothes that never quite makes it out the door. You do laundry every day; the room should work like it.
A Cutting Edge laundry room puts everything within arm's reach and gives you a real surface to work on. Countertops over the washer and dryer for folding. Upper cabinets for detergent, stain treatments, and supplies. Pull-out hampers that sort lights, darks, and delicates without a pile on the floor. A retractable drying rack for air-dry items. A linen closet built into the wall if you've got the depth. Even an ironing station that folds away when you don't need it.
We build laundry room systems the same way we build closets — every component is designed for your specific room and manufactured in our Orem shop. The materials are commercial-grade melamine (easy to wipe, humidity-resistant), the hardware is full-extension soft-close, and the countertop is built to handle daily folding without sagging or warping.
Whether your laundry room is a spacious dedicated room or a stacked-unit closet off the kitchen, we design to the exact space. A designer comes to your home, measures, and talks through how you actually do laundry — who uses the room, what piles up, what's missing. You get a 3D rendering and a written quote within a few days.
How it works
We visit and measure
A designer measures your laundry room (or the space you want to convert into one), notes plumbing locations, electrical, venting, and clearances, and walks through your laundry routine.
We design and quote
Within a few days you get a 3D rendering and an itemized quote — cabinets, countertop, pull-out hampers, drying rack, shelving, everything laid out.
We build it in our Orem shop
Cabinets, countertops, and hamper frames are CNC-cut, edge-banded, and hand-checked. Same precision as our closet systems.

How much does a custom laundry room cost in Utah?
Every laundry room is different, so we quote each project individually. An over-machine cabinet and countertop setup is the most affordable starting point. A full-room buildout with cabinets, folding counter, pull-out hampers, and shelving is mid-range. Larger rooms with linen closets, drying racks, and premium finishes cost more. We itemize every quote so you can see what each component costs and compare against any other estimate.
Can you add a folding counter over my washer and dryer?
Yes — it's one of our most popular laundry room upgrades. We build a countertop that spans the machines, supported by side panels or wall-mounted brackets depending on your configuration. Front-loaders work best, but we can design around top-loaders with a hinged section if needed.
Do you install pull-out hampers?
Yes. Pull-out hamper cabinets are built into the lower cabinetry with full-extension soft-close slides. Most homeowners want two or three compartments (lights, darks, delicates). The hamper bags are removable for easy carry to the machines.
My laundry room is tiny — just a closet with stacked machines. Can you still help?
Absolutely. Small laundry spaces are where custom matters most. We can add a narrow countertop shelf above the stack, door-back storage, a fold-down surface, and upper cabinets — all fitted to the exact dimensions of your closet. Every inch counts, and custom means none is wasted.
Can you work around existing plumbing and venting?
Yes. Every laundry room design starts with mapping plumbing supply lines, drain locations, dryer venting, and electrical. Cabinets and countertops are designed around those fixed points — we don't move plumbing, we design around it.
What materials hold up in a humid laundry room?
We use commercial-grade melamine with moisture-resistant edge banding — the same materials that hold up in garages and bathrooms. Countertops are built to handle humidity and daily wiping. For higher-end finishes, paint-grade MDF with sealed edges is also an option.
How long does a laundry room install take?
Most installs are completed in a single day. From design consultation to finished install, plan on 3–5 weeks. We schedule around your laundry routine so you're not hauling clothes to a laundromat.
